Music Notes

For years I played Easter services at a cathedral sized church downtown. It was an easy "gig" as they say, as it was the same music every year. That's what the congregation wanted. That said, one of the things I like to do is mix it up or change. Sometimes that even happens here at Kensington Baptist.

This year's Easter service will featured representatives from the church family helping us to better understand the Passion in a narrative form centering on the gospel hymn, "One Day". The choir will supplement the written and spoken word with song and instrumental music.

Yes this is different; however, the aim of the music department is to present the Passion of Christ in a worshipful manner. We hope that you will be in prayer for this service to let our light shine.
