PASTOR'S REFLECTIONS
If you look closely at the back of the weekly bulletin you will find these words "All Members - Ministers". I believe this is the essence of Jesus teachings. All of us are called to servant ministers. This is not easy in a world that tends to encourage us to put ourselves first. Rather, Christ demonstrated that true ministry and servant ministry requires us to put the "broken world of humanity" first.
Daniel Vestal, CBF Executive Coordinator has written "Leadership within the body of Christ is characterized by service - humble, compassionate and sacrificial service... if a church is to represent the present and coming Kingdom of God it will be because its members embody the mind of Christ "who emptied himself, taking the form of a servant" [Philippians 2:7]... For a church to participate in the mission of God it must be a servant to the world, discovering the needs of its community (as well as the global community) and seek to minister to those needs. A missional church is a servant church utilizing its building, programs, budget and resources to serve a broken humanity..."
Our vision as a body of believers is to let our light shine in such a way that we give hope and purpose to people's lives as we share and model the "good news" of Jesus Christ.
What are some ways that you can let your light shine and practice servant ministry to the broken world of humanity found in the communities where we live, work, play? Let me name a few and challenge you to help us transform the world together as we seek to let our light shine where Christ has planted us. These include:
1) Vacation Bible School (July 11-15);
2) VBS Mission Project. (July 11-15);
3) Back to School Supplies Mission Project

Opportunities abound for us to share Christ's love through servant ministry. Won't you join me in committing to find new ways to show the world the life changing difference Jesus Christ makes to those who choose to accept Him as Savior and Lord?
As we serve together,
In Christ's Service,
Pastor Bill
